Michigan is Getting Summer Weather Again – Here’s Where
Michigan got its first snowfall of the season earlier this week, including more than a foot of the white stuff in the Upper Peninsula. That’s way too early for my taste. I’m the kind of person that would like to fast-forward from early fall to late spring and skip everything in between. But, alas, we live in Michigan, so that’s not realistic.
Thankfully, after the bitter cold temperatures of earlier this week, much of Michigan is getting a huge warmup this weekend. It’s going to be like summer again for a few days, and I am so ready for it.
According to the National Weather Service, on the east side of the state, temperatures will be in the 70s through Monday (Oct. 24). “Breezy SW wind reinforces the supply of warm air into SE Michigan as nearly full sunshine occurs through patchy high clouds. Another warm day across the region Sunday as mostly sunny sky in the morning sees thickening high clouds during the afternoon,” Breezy SW wind reinforces the supply of warm air into SE Michigan as nearly full sunshine occurs through patchy high clouds. On the west side and middle of the state, the prediction is similar, with Grand Rapids also looking to hit the 70s through Monday and then drop into the 60s and 50s. “After a week of below normal temperatures, we have changed our local weather patterns to a warm and mostly dry one. Today being our first in a series of warm and dry days,” the After a week of below normal temperatures, we have changed our local weather patterns to a warm and mostly dry one.
