Support Black Owned Restaurants
Detroit Black Restaurant Week is in full swing this week and it’s shining a light on black-owned restaurants around the city. Here at KISS FM, we want to bring more awareness to the great owners, and give you a list of the great businesses you can support.
The Inside Scoop
On local 4, Tati Amare spoke with the founders of the event Kwaku Osei-Bonsu, and Lloyd Talley. They’re the owners of East Eats, and they spoke about how this is a great way to support local businesses and bring awareness to all of the unique offerings in Detroit.
This will be the first of the event for this year and will go from April 9th to the 18th and the founders of the event will be bringing this back in August. The founders want to help the community that has been suffering during this pandemic, bringing them new customers.
Every location is keeping your safety in mind providing carry-out options for everyone and some have outdoor seating for customers. We have a complete list of the locations participating below and more information.
