Doja Cat Changes Cover Art For ‘Scarlet’, Releases ‘Demons’
Doja Cat just released the cover art for her upcoming album Scarlet but has now revealed an “updated” look to the LP. Originally, the cover art for Scarlet had a purple spider with a drop of blood or venom in the front of the insect. Now, the updated look features two spiders with pearls on their backs. The singer captioned the photo, “SCARLET 9.22 (updated cover)” and offered no other explanation.

Fans believe that she changed the cover art due to the German metal band Chaver’s next album, Of Gloom, which is also dropping on 9/22. You can see a split image of Chaver and Doja’s original cover here.
Doja Cat released her third single to her upcoming album Friday (Sept. 1) titled “Demons.” She teased a sneak-peak of the music video on her official website this week. In the music video, Doja Cat (who is dressed as a demon) is haunting Christina Ricci. Ricci is best known for her portrayal of Wednesday Adams in the 1991 cult classic The Addams Family.

So far, Doja has released two songs ahead of Scarlet. The California native released “Attention” in June and “Paint The Town Red” last month. Last week, she teased that something was “coming soon” on her Instagram. The singer posted a photo of a silhouette in devil horns with the caption, “9.1.23 [hourglass emoji].”
Doja will be taking Scarlet on the road soon. The singer announced that she will be going on tour starting in October. The “Attention” rapper won’t be alone on this journey as she has recruited both Ice Spice and Doechii to go along on tour with her. The tour begins on Halloween (Oct. 31) in San Francisco and ends on Dec. 13 in Chicago.
