Free Movie Nights to Take Place Outside Little Caesars Arena
Here’s a fun, free summer activity to enjoy, even in the middle of coronavirus craziness.
Little Caesars Arena has announced “The District Detroit Movie Nights,” a free cinema series running from Aug. 7 through Sept. 6.
Chevrolet Plaza will be made into an outdoor theater showing two movies per week, with social distancing enforced.
Parking will be free, and attendees will be able to support local restaurants with food trucks and tents in the area.
Movies will air on Fridays and Sundays. Reservations are required, to ensure social distancing.
Those confirmed to attend will have to wear face masks, and temperature checks and health screenings will also take place. Guests may their own chairs or towels to sit on.

Friday, August 7: Amazing Grace, 7 p.m.
Sunday, August 9: Remember the Titans, 7 p.m.
Friday, August 14: The Russian Five, 7 p.m.
Sunday, August 16: The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings, TBD
Friday, August 21: The Lion King, 7 p.m.
Sunday, August 23: Field of Dreams, 7 p.m.
Friday, August 28: 42, TBD
Sunday, August 30: Rudy, 7 p.m.
Friday, September 4: A League of Their Own, 7 p.m.
Sunday, September 6: The Mighty Ducks, 7 p.m.
Food trucks and tents featuring local Metro Detroit restaurants will be on-site for each screening.
Free parking will open at the Henry West Garage at 128 W. Fisher Service Drive.
