Its February 14th and according to researchers, Valentines Day is one of the most sad and depressing day for a lot of people. valentines Day is a day that’s supposed to be filled with love, flowers, candy and other things that may make you happy, but for some it is quite the opposite. So if you missed the love train this year, dont worry 105.9 Kiss Fm has a list of things you can do to make your valentines day day special…alone of cores.

  • 1. Go to the Bar

    Because it’s Valentines Day, most restaurants will be filled with couples, but that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying your favorite drink. (responsibly of course) Take yourself out for a nice drink at you favorite bar, who knows you might find you a Valentines for next year!

  • 2. Go Skating

    Skating is a fun exorcise and often times better to do solo. The ice is all yours to ice skate, and you’re free to glide at your own pace without cutesy holding hands or trying not to trip on your skating partner’s missteps. Again this could be another way to meet new people.

  • 3. Buy Yourself Something Nice

    Since you have no one else to spend your money on, why not yourself. That nice, watch, bracelet, flowers, shoes or maybe even that electronic device you’ve been waiting months possibly years to buy. do it today. That gift may bring you the joy you’ve been looking for, at least for the moment.

  • 4. Go Out With Friends


    You can’t be the only single one out of your friend group. You and that friend(s) should go out and enjoy each other company. Now, this might seem sort of lonely and desperate, but that comfort from your friends will make you forget that its Valentines Day.

  • 5. Order Take out


    Nothing warms the soul and spirt more then some good food. Haven’t had you favorite restaurant in a while? Today is the day to go indulge in some of you favorite foods. If your trying to save money cooking is always an option as well. who doesn’t love a home cooked meal anyway.

  • 6. Binge Watch Netflix

    Since Netflix and chilling with someone else isn’t an option for you this year, try binge watching the series everyone on social media has been talking about. While everyone’s out spending money, you can finally catch up on the shows and join the conversation on social media.

  • 7. Go to the Movies


    This one is tricky. Depending on the time of day and what movie, you may want to stay away from this one. However, this can also bring you much joy. Going to the movies is always satisfying. Its just something about the experience. if you haven’t been in a while, now is the perfect time to go. Pick up that smart phone and see what good movies are available and go.

  • 8. Treat Yourself to a Spa Day


    Treat yourself to full on pampering. Get rid of all the negativity and toxins from your body by pre-booking a spa treatment. This season, treat yourself to some major pampering and be your own Valentine.

  • 9. Host a Singles party


    Hosting a party for singles will make you realize that you are not alone. Being around a group of people listening to music, drinking and enjoying food is a great way to not celebrate Valentines Day completely alone.

  • 10. Stay Off Social Media


    This one is going to be tough, but trust me its’s going to be worth it. Seeing everyone on the internet with their flowers, gifts, balloons, teddy bears etc. isn’t going to do anything but make you upset, so why put yourself though that. Everyone needs a break from social media sometime and today could be that day.
