The Monroe Street Midway is back and open this Memorial Day Weekend. Monroe Street Midway has everything families are looking for this summer in downtown Detroit, from skating to scoring to snacking to swinging. The playground, shooting hoops, and hitting a hole in one are just a few of the summer fun activities Monroe Street has to offer. Last year, the Monroe Street Midway was the place to be for kids and their families and one of their main attractions, the skating rink kept kids and their families coming back every weekend. Not only are there sessions for adults, but the Monroe Street Midway has some of the best local DJ's in Detroit providing the soundtrack for your skating experience.  Skating sessions are as follows: Thursday - Saturday Session 1: 12PM-3PM Session 2: 4PM-7PM Session 3: 8PM-11PM Sunday Session 1: 12PM-2PM Session 2: 3PM-6PM Session 3: 7PM-9PM In addition to the many different activities for children, there are some activities that will bring out your inner child as well like the basketball court and mini golf area. The mini golf offers a nine hole course and club. Courses are free and open during regular hours on a first-come, first-served basis. After you finish all the BBQ this weekend make sure you and your family make it down to the Monroe Street Midway this weekend.
