Kanye West Raps About His Family on Pusha T’s ‘It’s Almost Dry’
Kanye West is using his guest verses on Pusha T's It's Almost Dry to air out some family grievances.
Ye produced Pusha’s newest record, alongside Pharrell Williams. Ye has two guest verses on It’s Almost Dry which he uses to reference his current family situation with ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
In “Rock N Roll,” he says, “I ain’t come to pick up the kids to pick a fight.” With this line, Ye could be referring to the time he said Kim allegedly wouldn’t allow him to see the kids. “Please stop with this narrative, you were just here this morning picking up the kids for school,” Kardashian commented under a since-deleted Instagram post from Ye per Page Six.
In “Dreamin Of The Past” he raps about keeping his family together, “Born in the manger, the son of a stranger … When daddy’s not home, the family’s in danger.”
In the same since-deleted Instagram post, the Donda rapper said, “This is why I go so hard for my family I am wired to protect my family at all cost As the priest of my home Don’t worry Northy God is still alive.”
Kardashian and West share daughters North, 8, and Chicago, 4, and sons Saint, 6, and Psalm, 2.
