Nicki Minaj And Kenneth Petty Reportedly Trying To Silence His Sexual Assault Victim
The Daily Beast is reporting that Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty are trying to silence his sexual assault victim. Petty is a sex offender who was accused of attempted rape at the age of 16.
Nicki once mentioned on her radio show that back in 1995, the victim allegedly wrote a letter to the judge recanting her statement. She later reversed course after she found out she could face jail time (the vicim, who the Daily Beast refers to as “Jennifer,” denies that she wrote any such letter).
The Daily Beast says that she alleges that associates of Minaj and Petty’s spent months last year harassing her to submit a letter recanting her original statement, going so far as to offer hundreds of thousands of dollars on their behalf. At one point, Jennifer says, she also spoke with Minaj herself.”
The outlet says that “Jennifer” has moved several times in the last year because she fears for her safety. She also claims she has had to deal with people continuously contacting her on Kenneth and Nicki’s behalf.
Daily Beast lastly states that “Jennifer” has been in contact with U.S. Marshals, and they recently told her that “an investigation of the Pettys is underway and that they’ve found evidence.” Also, they are calling the investigation a “high-priority case.”
“Jennifer” said about the ordeal, “I’m hoping for the truth to come out, and whatever comes from that truth, to let it be. After everything that has happened, it’s like, these people were willing to sacrifice me so this guy could remain in the public eye.”
