Jada & Will Smith’s Kids React To Headlines About Their Marriage
Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith’s children — Willow and Jaden Smith — along with Will’s son Trey Smith, who he shares with ex-wife Sheree Zampino, have reportedly expressed their feelings on Will and Jada’s marriage. According to Entertainment Tonight, Willow and Jaden “feel bad for their dad with all the recent headlines about their parents.”
All three of Will’s kids “know he has been going through a lot lately, and this isn’t helping.” They also “wish some of their family’s private matters remained private.”
Will has been in the middle of the headlines as many of the trending topics from Jada’s book have to do with their relationship. A source tells Entertainment Tonight that he has been “trying to stay busy” and “hanging out with his good friends and his kids.” The source adds that he still loves Jada and is supportive during her book release. He is also trying to care for himself amid the headlines and critics on social media.
He released a concise statement on the matter earlier this week.
“When you’ve been with someone for more than half of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in, and you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties,” Will wrote in an email to The New York Times.
Jada Drops Bombshell On Her & Will’s Marriage
Jada’s book Worthy, which hit stands on Tuesday (Oct. 17) has been making headlines due to some bombshells the family has kept out of the public eye. During a sit-down with TODAY’s Hoda Kotb in promotion of the book, she revealed that she and Will have been separated for seven years.
“I think by the time we got to 2016, we were just exhausted with trying. I think we were both kind of just still stuck in our fantasy of what we thought the other person should be,” The Red Table Talk host said.
Worthy is on stands now.
