Kanye West Sued Over Donda Academy, Allegedly Only Fed Students Sushi
Kanye West is getting sued over his Donda Academy after allegedly only serving students sushi for lunch. Additionally, the kids would have to eat it on the floor without tables or chairs according to a new lawsuit per TMZ. Ye is being sued by two Black women who used to teach at Donda Academy and were later fired. They were allegedly fired for “retaliation for sounding the alarm on alleged education, health and safety code violations and for their race.”
According to the lawsuit obtained by the gossip site, the women said they were hired full-time earlier this year. They said that they were the only Black teachers at the Academy. They noticed the “numerous health and safety violations, unlawful educational practices and extremely unusual rules at Kanye’s school” early into their employment.
One of the alleged issues that was brought up was that the students only had one available lunch option which was sushi. Parents allegedly were not allowed to provide their children with lunches. Additionally students weren’t allowed to bring any outside food or drink, except for water. The suit alleges that the rapper spent $10,000 a week on sushi for the school. Ye also alegedly didn’t want children using forks or utensils.

The teachers claimed that Kanye did not allow crossword puzzles or coloring sheets at Donda Academy. Additionally, because Kanye was allegedly “afraid of stairs,” kids couldn’t take classes on the second floor.
As for the uniform, the suit alleges that the Donda rapper did not allow students to wear jewerly beause he “did not like jewerly.” Students also were allegedly forced to wear all black from head-to-toe but could not wear Nike or Adidias.
In the classroom, teachers claimed that Ye didnt allow chairs so children could only sit on foam cushions or be forced to stand. Teachers claimed they were told to stand or use a stool. They also claimed that there were no lesson plans or proper disciplinary procedures in place. The teachers added that it often resulted in “students going undisciplined for multiple instances of bullying and physical assaults against peers and teachers.”
School doors were also claimed to be locked from the outside during the school day. The pre-kindergarten through 12th grade students only went outside when it was time to go home according to the lawsuit. All students allegedly took recesss and lunch at the same time from inside of the Academy.
Donda Academy allegedly didnt have a janitor or school nurse. The suit claimed that the school did not have trashcans in the kitchen or outide of claassrooms. In terms of possible health violations, medications were “stored in a closet with other expired medications just scattered around unsecured.”
Lastly, the lawsuit alleged that the prior afremorentioned teachers’ paychecks came up short on several occasions. Their check often was $2,700 less than expected. Kanye has not publicly addressed these claims as of yet.
