DDG Explains Why Halle Bailey Pregnancy Was Kept Private
DDG and Halle Bailey are new parents but they’ve began protecting their son way before his arrival. In a YouTube vlog titled, “I’m A Dad Now…” DDG explained why he and Bailey decided to keep The Little Mermaid star’s pregnancy private.
“I’m a dad. I’m a dad, y’all. I have a son — I have a baby boy. He’s a newborn — he was actually born last year [but] we were just waiting on the right time to basically break the news or whatever. It’s been a lot of speculation…” the rapper began the vlog which included never-before-seen footage of Bailey’s pregnancy.
“It wasn’t that hard,” the “Moonwalking In Calabasas” rapper said. “It was harder for me than it was for her for sure because she don’t really be on social media like I do. Social media is what I do. It’s why I’m here today,” he said, referencing the content creation and video game streaming part of his job.
“This is one of my biggest accomplishments and I wasn’t able to show it for real for real but it was for a better cause ’cause people weird,” he added. “People are way too much in my business, our business, at this point in time. So, definitely for the better and it made it a lot easier, bringing him into the world without a bunch of opinions.”
DDG & Halle Bailey Welcome Son Halo
The couple shared the birth of their son Halo over the weekend. The parents posted a photo of their hands touching Halo’s as the newborn rocked a nameplate bracelet.
“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son,” Bailey wrote on Instagram. “Welcome to the world my halo the world is desperate to know you.”
DDG also posted the same photo on Instagram with the caption, “my biggest blessing by far son son.. never been so in love. baby halo.”
“The flyest kid in the universe has arrived,” the rapper added to his Instagram Story at the time.
