Quavo To Honor Takeoff With New Album ‘Rocket Power’
Quavo will be honoring Takeoff on his next album. The rapper took to Twitter to make the announcement. He also added that he will not be talking to the media after the project is released. “#RocketPower All My Emotions In This Album No Interviews,” Quavo wrote Tuesday (April 11).
This news follows Quavo’s new single “Honey Bun” which was released last month. In the song, he raps about not wanting sympathy for the loss of Takeoff. “I don’t wanna hear no sorry for my loss, n—-,” he raps in the first verse.
The Head Huncho also released “Greatness” back in February which touched upon the future of the Migos. “Never forget that the Migos amazin’/ Look at the ice and the knots in my pants, you know that them young n—– made it,” he raps over the DJ Durel produced beat.
However, further into the song, Quavo finally speaks his piece on where the Migos are now and will be in the future: “Came in, swept the game like a storm with the muthaf—— flow, n—-, Take did that/ So don’t ask about the group, he gone, we gone, young n—- it can’t come back, damn!”
In the song’s outro, Quavo gives a shoutout to Takeoff and Migos’ impact on the culture: “I couldn’t do it without the greatest group in the world … I couldn’t do it without the greatest nephew in the world.”

Takeoff was shot and killed at a private party at 810 Billiards & Bowling in downtown Houston on Nov. 1. He attended the party with Quavo, gossip site TMZ first reported.
Takeoff’s death came weeks after he and Quavo released their first collaborative album as a duo Only Built For Infinity Links.
The last update on suspected killer Patrick Xavier Clark was that he was released on $1 million bond.
