Nick Cannon Reveals The ‘Biggest Guilt’ Over Having 11 Kids
Nick Cannon admits he has “guilt” over having nearly a dozen kids. The television host admitted he struggle with keeping his work life and time with his children balanced. During an episode of Paramount+’s The Checkup with Dr. David Agus, Cannon, 42, said, “Being a father of multiple kids, it’s always the biggest guilt on me is that I don’t get to spend enough time with all my children. One, ’cause I’m constantly working and two, because I’m just spread thin.”
Cannon has 11-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with his ex-wife Mariah Carey. He also has 5-year-old Golden “Sagon,” 23-month-old Powerful Queen and 2-month-old son Rise Messiah with Brittany Bell. He shares 18-month-old twin sons Zion and Zillion as well as newborn daughter Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa. Cannon also has a 5-month-old son Legendary Love with Brie Tiesi and a 3-month-old daughter Onyx Ice with LaNisha Cole. Last year, Cannon and Alyssa Scott’s son Zen passed away from brain cancer at just 5 months old.
How Much Does Nick Cannon, Father of 12, Pay for Child Support?
“Physically I’m definitely on the mend but Mentally and Spiritually I’m broken,” he candidly wrote on Instagram on the anniversary of Zen’s death earlier this month. “Been tossing and turning all night, and as much as I know I need rest, last night I couldn’t sleep at all. I can’t believe it’s been a year already since the toughest day of my life occurred. Such a painful anniversary. Losing a child has to be the heaviest, most dark and depressive experiences that I will never get over. A mixture of guilt, pain, and sorrow is what I suppress daily.”
His post continued, “I am far from perfect and often fall short and make decisions in my life that many question, but anyone who knows me knows my heart. I love hard, I love big and I love with my entire Heart and Soul and I just wish my Little Man could’ve felt more of that love while he was here on Earth.”
Cannon and Scott are expecting their second child together — which would be Cannon’s 12th. The Wild N Out host recently joked about having to buy so many Christmas gifts for his long list of children. “It’s almost the holidays, and thanks to me, the world now has 8 billion people, but my job’s not done,” he quipped. “And based off the baby mama to kid ratio, we got a whole hell of a lot of gifts to buy.”
