Black Owned Chocolate Brand Becomes Exclusive Chocolatier Of Cadillac
For a popular luxury car brand, nothing makes more sense then to have a luxury chocolate brand to go with it right? Phillip Ashley, is the name of a luxury chocolate company, based in Memphis, TN, that has teamed up with Cadillac for some future business endeavors. The popular chocolate brand creates wildly imaginative chocolates that are synonymous with luxury. Phillip Ashley Rix is the mastermind behind this trendy new food brand and has always had a passion for cooking since he was a child, tugging at his grandmother Jean’s apron strings eager to try it out. Phillip Ashley Chocolates was founded to design and develop the finest, most unique chocolate experience. Rix’s brand is known as a modern-day “Willy Wonka” due to blends like Sweet Potato, French Bleu Cheese, and Bacon Caramel Shortbread. Phillip’s chocolates can be ordered online and shipped nationally as well as internationally.
In addition to the brand’s wide recognition, one of the most iconic automotive brands in the world noticed it: Cadillac. Rix released a statement saying, “We are two American luxury brands and those two things go really well together. We said, you do something really well, and we do something really well, so let’s put those two things together where it makes the most sense.” Classic brands are nothing new to Rix. The chocolate artist has worked with high-profile clients such as FedEx, Disney, and A-list celebrities like Stevie Wonder and curated dining experiences at the James Beard House in New York City.
Rix has also created bespoke chocolates for the 2023 Lyriq and Escalade V-Series launch events in Phoenix, Arizona, as well as Cadillac’s first electric car, Celestiq. His latest collaboration with Cadillac was the Love Jones collection, inspired by the cult classic film, for AFFF Miami and a Martha’s Vineyard soirée sponsored event by Cadillac.
When asked where does he get his inspiration for his chocolate treats, Rix replied, “I’ve had a vivid imagination my entire life, so I’ve always just been curious about people, about experiences, and obviously food.” Rix then goes on to say, “I’m always thinking about what lives in the real world that I can reimagine to turn into chocolate. That’s my best way of describing it. I’m always observant, constantly talking to people and meeting people, and learning about what their experiences are.” To try some of Rix’s chocolate treats log onto Phillip Ashley Chocolate.com or visit his store front in Memphis TN.
