Kym Worthy Charges 7 Students Involved With School Threats
Kym Worthy, a Wayne County’s prosecutor, recently charged seven juvenile students with making threats against schools and/or having weapons in school. The charges come after several schools closed down due to the Oxford High School shooting that resulted in four student deaths, six other students wounded and an injured teacher as well. In a statement released to the press, Worthy said, “There is a stranglehold on Southeastern Michigan now, school threats naturally put everyone on edge. Thankfully, these matters were all thwarted and no one was harmed.”
Among those charged was a 14-year-old male student at Parcells Middle School in Grosse Pointe Woods. He was charged with a false report/threat of terrorism. In Detroit, a 13-year-old male student from Fisher Magnet Upper Academy, was accused of possessing a weapon while in a no weapons zone. This Student was given a $5k cash bond. Detroit what do you think? What should happen to these children making threats to these schools?
