Madonna Reacts To Lil Nas X BET Awards Kiss: I ‘Did It First’
Madonna must have taken a page out of Courtney Love's book, calling out another young person in the music industry for something they’ve done decades ago.
The 62-year-old “Queen of Pop” declared her famous onstage kiss from the 2003 MTV VMAs with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera as “#diditfirst” on her Instagram Story. She compared a still from that moment with Lil Nas X’s kiss with one of his dancers during his performance of “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” at this past Sunday’s (June 27) BET Awards.
However, Lil Nas X has declared that he and Madonna are friends and that it is all just a joke:

Madonna’s post follows Lil Nas X’s reactions to those who really have been criticizing his makeout moment on Twitter saying, “since y’all still doing all this over a kiss imma just f— the n—- on stage next time.”
The 22-year-old rapper said it took him a lot of time to mentally prepare for the BET performance, “trembling” at the thought of his straight peers:
it took me a lot of time to mentally prepare for this performance. while on stage i was trembling knowing that i was performing something like that in front of my straight peers. even during the performance i was having a hard time calming my nerves. thank you guys for the love.
