Chris Pratt Under Fire For Mocking Celebrities In An Instagram Post About Voting
Chris Pratt is getting a little heat for his latest Instagram post. While trying to get fans to vote for Onward for the People’s Choice Awards, he throws light shade at celebrities that encouraging voting in the upcoming election.
He wrote, ” With all that’s going on in the world it is more important than ever that you vote. Just ask any celebrity. They will tell you. Every day. Several times a day. To vote. But me? I will tell you EXACTLY who to vote for. #onward The heroes before us did not spill their blood only to have their sacrifices wasted by your apathy.”
“The upcoming 2020 People’s Choice Awards is the most consequential vote in the history of mankind times a million infinity. Vote for #Onward for family movie of the year. Or else. You WILL die. No hyperbole. Click the link in my bio. Let your voice be heard.”
In the comments, many of his followers didn’t appreciate his caption. One wrote, “I get this is supposed to be a cute little joke but it comes off as really insensitive. The upcoming election is really important and everyone should vote and for you to try and take that and turn it into an ad for your movie is low.” Another fan added, “Chris what the f— this ain’t it,” and another simply put, “Delete this.”
On Twitter, there was a mix of reactions. See some below.

Making light of forcing people to vote for their specific interests in the election is funny. I'm tired of celebrities screaming to vote for their party instead of just encouraging everyone to use their right and choose on their own.

This kinda missed the mark for me. I get the humor side of it, but probably not the right climate to make voting seem ridiculous. But good luck with that people’s choice award.

Yo Chris! I hope all is well for you and your family! These "Jokers" of Hollywood have nothing on you! I hope that no matter what you keep standing for what you believe in! I believe you have the "Armor of God" on your side and will always shield you from these evil people!

Nice. Don't you dare apologize to those losing their minds over a joke.

Just say Ryan Reynolds wrote it for you. He is Canadian and I remember people giving him crap for getting married in a beautiful plantation home...he is Canadian also. Just stay off social media then they will send you blessings.
