Mariah Carey Says Ellen DeGeneres Interview Left Her “Extremely Uncomfortable”
Mariah Carey becomes the latest celebrity to speak about an awkward experience with Ellen DeGeneres. Carey appeared on the Ellen show in 2008. DeGeneres wanted Carey to prove that she wasn’t pregnant by drinking a glass of champagne. Carey was not ready to reveal her pregnancy. In a New York magazine interview, Carey said, “I was extremely uncomfortable with that moment is all I can say. And I really have had a hard time grappling with the aftermath… I wasn’t ready to tell anyone because I had had a miscarriage. I don’t want to throw anyone that’s already being thrown under any proverbial bus, but I didn’t enjoy that moment.” DeGeneres has been under fire after allegations of bullying, sexual misconduct, and racism behind the scenes of her show. Three producers have already been fired because of the exposed behavior.
