Jaden Smith’s Foundation To Bring Clean Water To Flint
Jaden Smith’s foundation is set to bring clean water to Flint, Michigan.
The actor and rapper’s organization has partnered with First Trinity Missionary Baptist Church to deploy a mobile water filtration system known as “The Water Box” that reduces lead and other potential contaminants, according to The Grio. Smith’s foundation and the church announced today (Mar. 1) that they will set up the system.
The son of actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s JUST goods company coordinated with First Trinity to design and engineer the system.
Since 2014, Flint has been restoring water pipes that were contaminated with lead-filled water and unfortunately, bottled water donations are decreasing for the city that sits 66 miles northwest of Detroit.
First Trinity Missionary Baptist Church has already distributed over five million bottles of water to Flint residents.
