Kyler Murray Is Demanding BIG Money Or He Is Going To The NFL
Kyler Murray wants big money to stay committed to professional baseball.
As you know, the Heisman winning Oklahoma quarterback is being courted by both the NFL and MLB, and he’s about to get paid no matter what he decides.
The Oakland Athletics chose Murray with the 9th overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft and gave him a $4.66 million signing bonus, but now Murray wants more, much more.
Deservingly so if you ask me, the kid is an absolute game changing freak athlete that could possibly be taken with the first overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. He has an incredible arm that threw for 4,053 yards and 40 touchdowns last season, and now with Kliff Kingsbury being hired as the Arizona Cardinals head coach, there’s a chance Kyler goes first overall for real for real.
Take a look at what Kingsbury said in this video below.
With that kind of possibility, it only makes sense that Kyler and agent start the negotiations high, $15 million to be exact.
Kyler wants $15 million from the Athletics to stay with baseball or he will enter the NFL Draft, today. If you think that’s too high then you’re silly. Last year’s first overall pick, Baker Mayfield, is projected to make a total of $33 million+ with a $22 million+ signing bonus. (According to Forbes)
Now some people will say that Murray should stick with baseball because there is the potential for way more money, but there are plenty of top draft picks that ended up not panning out and then didn’t make the money they thought they would. Murray has the chance to cash in early with guaranteed money in the NFL and set himself and his family up for life. In my opinion, he’s doing the right thing, plus I love seeing athletes sticking it to the man, the “man” being the MLB and NFL.
