Common Spits Over August Greene’s “Livin’ On A Prayer” Bon Jovi Cover
The king, the poet, the master.
In the low key August Greene track, Common, Robert Glasper, and Karriem Riggins, who make up the group, performed their version of “Livin’ On A Prayer” for the Jimmy Fallon‘s “Cover Room.”
Though it’s not something you would expect to work, it totally does, using the hook from the Bon Jovi classic, and adding their own flair to verses.

I’d like to know what Jon Bon Jovi thinks, just out of my own curiosity. I’m sure he’d dig it though.
August Greene’s self-titled album was released in March, so you can peep it wherever it’s sold.
