André 3000 Drops Unreleased Song for LA Wildfire Relief Album
André 3000 has shared a previously unreleased song as part of a new album created to help artists affected by the Los Angeles wildfires. The album, titled Staying: Leaving Records Aid To Artists Impacted By The Los Angeles Wildfires, was released on Monday, January 20, by Leaving Records. It features 98 tracks and can be purchased on Bandcamp.
André 3000’s song is called “This is Where My Room Use to Be” featuring Carlos Niño, Alex Cline, and Pablo Calogero. According to the song description, André 3000 plays the “Maya Flute and Pedals.”
Other artists on the album include Reggie Watts, Brijean, and more.
In November 2023, André 3000 released his first solo album, New Blue Sun, his first full-length release since Outkast’s last album. It’s not a rap album; he plays flute on the record.
