Method Man Denies Gym Assault On Daughter’s Ex
Method Man has denied claims of assault at a Staten Island gym, as reported by the New York Post on Thursday (Jan. 16).
A representative for Method Man (Clifford Smith) told Billboard, “Mr. Smith categorically denies the allegations as reported and has not been the subject of an arrest by any law enforcement agency.”
The New York Post reported that the Wu-Tang Clan rapper was involved in an incident at a Crunch Fitness gym, where law enforcement sources alleged he punched another man in the face seven times.
The Post also claimed the victim is the ex-boyfriend of Method Man’s 28-year-old daughter. According to the report, the man, who allegedly dated her over ten years ago, refused medical attention at the scene.
Although Method Man denied being arrested, the Post reported that a complaint was filed with the NYPD. The NYPD later confirmed to Billboard that no arrest report exists.
When the news came out, fans shared their reactions on Reddit. One person wrote, “No way Method Man and I go to the same gym.”
Another fan commented, “Who the f— would try to fight Method Man? Dude is cool as hell, massive, and jacked as f—.”
