Martin Luther King Day Celebrations

The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History is holding its MLK Day 2020 celebration. A breakfast and keynote address will be held. The celebration will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit the website here.
Detroit’s 17th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Rally and March will be held at noon in the St. Mathew’s-St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church.
The Detroit Historical Museum will hold its “Beyond the Dream” event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The program will feature performances and workshops. Program admission for MLK activities is free for the day.

The Let Freedom Ring Awards honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The event will be held at the historic Fox Theatre at 7 p.m. and will be hosted by civil rights leader Rev. Jesse Jackson.
The Motown Museum will offer free admission to those 17 years and younger on MLK Day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The celebration will include special performances and giveaways.
