5 Reasons Detroit Tigers Will Win the World Series

By now we know the story of this years Detroit Tigers - coming out of nowhere in August to get into the postseason. But how far can they go? How about all the way?  Here we go - My 5 reasons Detroit Tigers Win World Series THIS YEAR  1. The Young Guns Are Stepping Up  When you watch the young talent like Riley Greene, Parker Meadows and Wenceel Perez  patrolling the outfield, and the renewed confidence of Spencer Torkelson at first base, throw in Colt Keith, plus Matt Vierling as a stabilizing force and you quickly realize there’s a TON of talent on the field and youthful energy in the postseason is contagious.  DETROIT, MICHIGAN - SEPTEMBER 27: Riley Greene #31 of the Detroit Tigers reacts after hitting a single against the Chicago White Sox during bottom of the fourth inning at Comerica Park on September 27, 2024 in Detroit, Michigan. Don’t think that matters? He’ll come into the playoffs healthy and fired up - plus his stuff is actually getting BETTER as the season progresses. Plus watch Reese Olson continue to bloom, get Montero eating innings and the return of Casey Mize. Pitching matters. Tigers have it.  3. A Dominant Bullpen So much of playoff baseball is about getting into the opposing teams bullpen. Bring it on. Jason Foley, Tyler Holton, Will Vest, Hunter, Jackson Jobe (don’t sleep on him - these hitters haven’t seen him…a real problem). The Tigers can go up against any bullpen in baseball right now.  DETROIT, MICHIGAN - SEPTEMBER 27: Jason Foley #68 and Jake Rogers #34 of the Detroit Tigers celebrate winning the game against the Chicago White Sox and clinching a wild card berth at Comerica Park on September 27, 2024 in Detroit, Michigan. AJ Hinch is making all the right moves and this young team believes in him. He won’t let them simply be excited about being IN the playoffs, he’ll keep pushing and get the best out of them.  DETROIT, MICHIGAN - SEPTEMBER 27: Manager A.J. Is there a better story in baseball than the Tigers? (I’m waiting for the New York Times to write an article about the Tigers and the rebirth of Detroit…you know it’s coming). Did anyone REALLY think Texas would win it all last year? It can happen.  DETROIT, MICHIGAN - SEPTEMBER 27: The Detroit Tigers pose for a group photo after their win against the Chicago White Sox and clinching a wild card berth at Comerica Park on September 27, 2024 in Detroit, Michigan.
