Kevin Durant Explains Viral Video Of Him Practicing His Form In The Club
Kevin Durant recently went viral for appearing to practice his jump shot while in the club. However, ball might not be life, after all.
The internet loved the video when it started going viral. There’s an old saying in basketball that “ball is life” and that video seemed to be video evidence. “Kevin Durant is so into basketball he can’t even go to the club without practicing” we all seemed to think. However, that does not appear to be the case here. Watch as Kevin Durant explains the viral video of him in the club below!
Kevin Durant Explains Viral Video In The Club
Kevin Durant has always seemed like a cool dude. He comes off laid back and relatable like a guy in your friend group. That sense of relatability grew even bigger this offseason when he was caught on camera appearing to practice his jumper in the club. People had all sorts of hilarious comments about the video. Many people drew comparisons to Kobe’s Mamba Mentality and how it would be something he would have done. May he Rest In Peace.
However, KD wasn’t using the time to practice his form. It was all just a part of some trash talk between friends. According to Basketball Forever, KD appeared on Kay Adams’ show “Up & Adams” and said, “I was lifting that whole week so my shoulder was a little tight…and then my boy was like ‘I’ll lock you up, like you can’t score on me.’ When he told me that, I was just trying to show him what I would do once we get on the court…You couldn’t see him in the video. He was like right across the section. I was like on the dance floor, and he was like screaming at me that he can guard me. So I had to show him what I was gonna do to him.”
That’s hilarious. I love that you can’t see the buddy in question so it looks like KD is just out there in his own world practicing his form. It’s nice to hear the backstory and to finally get some clarity on the matter. Check out the viral video and his explanation to Kay Adams below!
