As the new year hit Metro Detroit, so did new temperatures. With temperatures reaching as low as 12 degrees on Monday, Detroit has opened some warming shelters around the city to offer some respite from the cold beginning the new year. According to Fox 2 Detroit.com, here is a list of centers offering some warmth from the frigid temperatures outside. Please direct any individuals to these centers for warmth

     open to all homeless from 7-11 a.m.
