Highland Township Gears Up for 190-Year Celebration with Pickle-Themed Festivities

Highland Township will host its Founders Day Parade and Festival on May 16.

This year's pickle theme connects to the township's heritage. Highland Pickle Works was built in 1880. Another Highland pickle producer, Domestic Pickle Works, had its own building by 1890.

An online portal accepts vendor applications for the May event. That same site handles registration for the Red, White, and Blues Fireworks Festival in June.

Vandrey Self Storage is sponsoring a classic and custom car show during Founders Day. Applications are open now for car owners to register their classics.

Last year's celebration marked 190 years since the township's founding. The 2026 event keeps that tradition alive, bringing residents together to honor their roots.
