Regé-Jean Page and Chris Pine star in the new Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves movie. Regé plays Xenk, a paladin and Chris plays a bard named Edgin. Off-screen, the actors love taking their turns filling the role of the “internet’s boyfriend.”

“We talk about it all the time,” Pine, 42, jokingly told People this week. “We have a WhatsApp. It’s just called ‘internet’s boyfriend.’ We’ll send each other pictures of ourselves. ‘These are what my fans are saying.’ So, we’re into it big time.”

Page, 34, says the internet is “well-wooed.” He adds, “We send the internet flowers all the time.” Of his handsome co-star, Pine says he is in “awe” of the Bridgerton alum for coming out of that experience “normal.” Pine adds, “Regé is hardworking and professional. And specifically what is infuriating is he’s also very funny.”

Taking his turn to gush about Pine, Page calls the Star Trek star “incredibly inspiring.” He says Pine has the “eloquence to break down everything you’re doing” while on set, raising the “bar pretty high.” He tells his mentor, “Everything that you thought I was doing well was mostly me just trying to do it the way that you do it.”
