Fans React to Cade Cunningham and Jameson Williams Photo
In Detroit, where several professional sports teams are rebuilding, young talent has entered the scene. The speed and potential ability of Jameson Williams to blow past opponents’ defensive backs make him one of the most popular members of the Detroit Lions. The first catch of his NFL career was memorable. Williams broke free against the Minnesota Vikings defense and walked into the end zone. Although the 21-year-old star in the making finished his rookie season with only two receptions, the expectation is that he will work diligently all offseason to improve his game. When asked about the star receiver, Lions Gm Brad Holmes said, “I think a little bit of what you saw, I don’t think that’s anywhere close to where this kid’s going to go. He made some big plays and he had some flashes. But the other thing about Jameson, he’s just a football player, man. That dude just wants to be out there on the football field. That’s how he’s wired. That’s how he is. But I don’t think anything he did this year is anywhere remotely close to where he’s going to go.”
As for Pistons star guard, Cade Cunningham, who is recovering from shin surgery that unfortunately cost him the remainder of his sophomore season with the Pistons, has already won the hearts of Detroit Sports fans. After having a rookie campaign that left him runner up for rookie of the year, Detroit fans are excited for what the future holds for him and the young Detroit Pistons.
When the speedy wideout visited the Pistons recently, he had the chance to chat with the NBA guard. Social media was abuzz with excitement about the meeting of the two stars the future prospects for both teams. A post on the Pistons’ social media account declared, “The future of Detroit sports is looking bright.”
