TEE GRIZZLEY DONATES HUNDREDS OF FREE MEALS IN DETROIT
Ahead of the release of his new album, Tee Grizzley donated hundreds of free meals to the to the city Detroit. In his old neighborhood, Tee Grizzley opened up a pop-up food truck and donated 400 “Tee Grizzley Bowls” from Hoodbachi Grill. Grizzley posted a video on Instagram with the caption, “Gave away 400 meals to the community the day my album dropped. This ain’t nowhere near enough but it’s a start.” The video shows Tee Grizzley and his team of chefs working tirelessly to pass out the meals in a line that eventually wraps around the block.
Tee Grizzleys album, Chapters of the Trenches dropped on October 14. During a recent interview with Bootleg Kev, the Detroit rapper said the narrative arc was intended to portray the childhood world he grew up in. Grizzley said “I’m just walking you through everything that happened in the trenches, not everything, but some of the stuff that happens every day.”
In the video posted on Instagram Grizzley said, “Bro when you was in this position, you wishin’ somebody woulda gave back to you, Just imagine how you would have felt if that had happened for you. It’s one of the main reasons I do it. No cap.”
