Weekdays 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

Downtown Detroit will be a roller skater’s paradise once again this weekend, but with a few new features. It was announced in April that the Monroe Street Midway will reopen on May 27 and will stay open throughout the summer. A new and improved rink will be part of the Rollout Detroit outdoor roller rink, according to officials. Among the new features this year will be a 9-hole mini golf course, a covered pavilion, and a large grassy area.

In 2021, the site launched as Bedrock as a place for people to play sports, skate, eat, and hang out. The cost of skating sessions is $13, which includes  rental skates. Midway’s general admission is free. Monre Street Miday will open today at 11 am and will be open on Memorial Day as well. The Midway will be open during the following hours:

  • Wednesday and Thursday: 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday: 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
  • Sunday: 11 a.m.-9 p.m.

Detroit fire up those grills, eat some good food, then get out this weekend and work it all off at Monroe Street Midway with some low cast skating and other fun activities for you and the family.
