Kevin Samuels: The Woman Who Was Allegedly With Him The Night He Died Speaks Out
On May 5, it was reported that controversial media personality Kevin Samuels had died.
The Atlanta Police Department received a call claiming that a man had collapsed in his home from a woman who identifies as Ms. A (name withheld for privacy). She identified herself and said she’d met Samuels the prior night, “came to his apartment, and spent the night with him,” per The Source. She noted he complained of having chest pain on the morning of his death and she “attempted to help him but he fell on top of her and she proceeded to notify 9-1-1.” When the first responders arrived at the apartment, they performed CPR on Samuels but he was unresponsive.
“It’s crazy how complete strangers try to hurt your character. Believe it or not, there’s still good-hearted people in this cruel world” the woman said in a since-deleted Instagram post per HotNewHipHop.
“Unbelievable to think that I have to clear my name for doing the right thing. Let me find a lawyer and make these people take all this mess down,” she added.
His mother Beverly Samuels-Burch confirmed her son’s death to NBC News, sharing that she learned that he had passed from social media. “That was a terrible thing for social media to put that out,” she said. “I didn’t even know. I hadn’t even been notified. All I’m doing is requesting that people pray for us.”
