Greektown Casino-Hotel will change its name to Hollywood Casino at Greektown, according to Penn National Gaming, Inc. Penn National says, the new name will be announced May 1 assuming that regulatory approvals have been received. Aside from the name change, several additions will be made to the look, feel and experience, according to the company. In the next few months, the hotel will finish remaking 400 guest rooms and suites for a total investment of $30 million in renovations. All of the carpets, corridors, elevator vestibules, and other common areas have been updated. They will even be adding a new cocktail bar in the lobby.

Hollywood Casino at Greektown will introduce a variety of new food and beverage options, such as cocktail lounges and rock bars, an upscale Dunkin’ concept, and new options at the Barstool Sportsbook. Additionally, Hollywood Casino at Greektown will offer the first mobile rewards app, called mywallet via the mychoice rewards app. The system will be cashless and cardless. The app will allow guests to add funds, collect winnings, earn tier points, and more to slot machines and table games all from their phones.
