Detroit Lions To Be Featured On HBO’s “Hard Knocks”
The Detroit Lions will be the subject of the HBO series “Hard Knocks,” which will chronicle the team’s training camp and preseason through a series of weekly episodes. The Lions were one of the few teams that have never appeared on Hard Knocks. With Head Coach Dan Campbell leading the charge, he is sure to bring a lot of fun and entertainment to the show this season.
If you have never seen the show, “Hard Knocks” is a docuseries that follows one NFL team throughout their entire training camp/preseason leading up their first regular season game. Fans will get chance to see everything that goes into building, reconstructing, and developing the roster for the upcoming 2022 season. As part of the series, NFL Films will shoot more than 1,750 hours of footage at Lions’ training camp in Allen Park by a 30-person NFL Films crew. Sound and camera crews will have unrestricted access to player meeting rooms, training rooms, living quarters and practice fields. Detroit Lions president and CEO Rod Wood said in a statement, “We are excited about the opportunity to showcase the City of Detroit and the amazing culture we are building at the Lions. HBO Sports and NFL Films are the best of the best and we know they will be excellent partners in sharing our story with football fans around the world.”
Hard Knocks premieres Aug. 9 and concludes Sept. 6, which is right before the the beginning of the 2022 NFL Regular season.
