Even though it feels like spring will be here soon, let’s face it- we still have plenty of winter left to go in Michigan. That said, one of the best winter comfort foods, in my opinion, is pasta. Eating a piping hot, flavorful bowl of pasta on a snowy Michigan day is pure bliss. Thankfully, Michigan has plenty of fantastic Italian restaurants throughout the state to get your pasta fix.
Now, the crew at Eat This, Not That! has done the hard work to determine the restaurant with the best pasta dish in all of Michigan, according to data from Yelp. As for methodology, they state, “We first identified businesses in the restaurant and food categories with a large concentration of reviews with mentions of ‘pasta.’ Once the restaurant with the highest number of ratings was selected, we determined the most popular pasta dish by total volume of reviews and star ratings. Plus, if you’re looking for a one-in-a-lifetime experience, don’t miss The Best Expensive Restaurant in Every State.”
They added, “From the classics like homemade ravioli to unique squid ink pasta, the pasta-bilities are endless when it comes to America’s favorite carb.”
So, what restaurant has the best pasta in all of Michigan? According to the study, it’s Ottava Via in Detroit. “As indulgent as it sounds, the truffle butter pasta has Ottava Via patrons hungry for more,” the publication states in the study. “Our mouths are watering just thinking about the housemade pasta tossed with a creamy truffle butter sauce and mushroom blend.” I’m getting hungry just writing about this topic. I should really have pasta for dinner. It’s worth nothing that there are plenty of pasta establishments throughout Michigan that are worthy of a No. 1 pick, too.
