Saweetie Explains Why She Shaved Her Head
On Christmas Eve last year, Saweetie debuted a fresh blonde buzzcut which had fans loving and hating the rapper’s new ‘do. However, now she is opening up as to why she traded in her long black tresses for a blonde cut.
“Meditation, as crazy as it sounds, because I just found so much clarity within myself,” Saweetie explained per HotNewHipHop. “I wanted to start over and I did research about hair and hair holds a lot of energy. And I really wanted to just feel new and fresh with this new music. I won’t say new me. But elevated me. I really just wanted to start over again.”
She says she “meditates, she’s centered, she has clarity, she knows what she wants, she puts her foot down.” Within this newfound clarity, she has been able to “create more boundaries” within her personal and professional life. The “Best Friend” recommends that “everyone should do that.”
