In celebration of Black History Month, The EMG Foundation, Huntington Bank and Beasley Media Group will be hitting Detroit’s streets every Saturday in February passing out lunch boxes to the homeless.

Starting at noon the team of volunteers with cover key areas in the city including the Cass Corridor, the East and west sides of the city including the Rosa Parks Transit Center . Lunch boxes covered with a graphic reminder of historical footprints will be passed out.

The EMG Foundation was founded by Detroit Journalist, Mildred Gaddis with a mission of bringing people out of the darkness of poverty.
This effort includes a “Daughters Without Mothers” component, College Scholarships, “Sleeping Bags for the Homeless” effort and a “Get Out the Vote” element.
