The luxurious and infamous clothing brand Gucci, could be opening a store in downtown Detroit staring this Spring. This week, the clothing brand placed ads on at least two websites seeking a “store director” and a “client advisor” for a location in Detroit, with the jobs said to start April 20 according to The Detroit Free Press. Currently, the only Gucci store in Michigan is in inside Somerset Collection mall in Troy. A spokesperson for Gucci did not return an inquiry about the job postings Friday afternoon, however Crain’s Detroit reported that Gucci does intend to open a store in Detroit.
