Dole Fresh Vegetables, Inc. is recalling dozens of types of prepackaged salad from dozens of states, including Michigan, due to a “possible health risk” from listeria. The Food and Drug Administration posted a recall notice on its website on Jan. 7 for packaged salads processed at Dole’s Springfield, Ohio, and Soledad, California production facilities. Consumers are advised to immediately throw out any and all of the recalled items and above all do not eat them. There are several store brands affected by this recall, including Walmart’s Marketside brand, Aldi’s Little Salad Bar, Kroger, and H-E-B just to name a few. Detroit, please be careful when purchasing salads as it could possibly be detrimental to your health at the moment.
