Vernell Vernado, the California rapper's father, was the first to break the news on social media captioning some throwback photos of Tate and other family members,"Snoops mom has passed today can all my fans pray for our family we need it more than ever Thanxs."
Snoop Dogg also posted a couple of photos of his mother one of them with the caption, "Mama thank u for having me 🙏🏾🌹," and a separate post with the message, "Til. We. Meet. Again🙏🏾🌹 #TWMA."
Many celebrities have come to offer their condolences to Snoop Dogg and his family.
Rapper Busta Rhymes commented, "❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️"
"Maan. My condolences my brother. Wow," actor Deon Cole commented.
TV co-host Martha Stewart commented, "Poor mother! I am so sorry that you have suffered such a grievous loss snoop. May she Rest In Peace."
We previously reported that Snoop Dogg was asking for prayers for his mother back in July when she was sent to the hospital for an unknown cause.
As of now, the cause of death has not been shared at this time.
