Was Wendy Being “Thirsty” Detroit?
Comedian Gary Owen was on Wendy Williams Thursday, and from the beginning of the interview, Wendy was “shooting her shot.” She began by asking Owen about his divorce situation and how that was going. She asked him was he dating and even told him that she thought he was attractive when she met him on the set of ” Think Like a Man.” Williams was aggressively pursuing Owen the entire interview, so much so that Owen began to blush and even looked nervous and uncomfortable at times. That got social media talking, and some thinking she was a bit to aggressive in her approach of Owen. She even asked him on a date live on air, in which Owen reluctantly declined to answer.

As mentioned earlier, Owen is going through a messy divorce with his wife of 17 years Kenya Duke, and is technically not divorced yet, which he mentioned to Wendy during the interview. This is partially why people on social media felt it was a little unprofessional and disturbing for Wendy to be asking him out on a date and flirting with him while he is going through a rough transition in his life. Most believe her intent was not malicious, but still cringing to watch.
