The legendary and incomparable Patti LaBelle turned 77 yesterday (May 24th). 105.9 Kiss FM #1 for smooth R&B and Old School is sending love and many blessings to the “Godmother of Soul”.

Please help us with our favorite shady “auntie” and the ultimate diva, Ms. Patti a very happy birthday season! We hope you had an awesome birthday.

Through the years she’s amazed audiences with her remarkable voice! She’s a dramatic soprano whose vocal range hits three octaves, three notes, and a semitone. If you have never heard Ms. Patti sing in concert (and kick her shoes off) well, you are missing out!

We are truly blessed to have this multi-Grammy-winning, R&B singer, songwriter, chef, actress, and businesswoman share her gift with us! Patti first topped the charts in 1974 as lead vocalist on the Labelle hit, Lady Marmalade, and has not stopped since.

What’s your favorite Patti LaBelle song? We know with so many hits it’s really hard to pick but if I had to choose one it would be, “Love Need and Want You” released in 1984 off her sixth studio album, I’m In Love Again.
