Happy birthday, Busta Rhymes! He turns 48 today. Can you believe it?

Let’s celebrate Busta’s birthday with some cool facts about him!

Basta has some major rhyming skills, and for years, Busta actually held the Guinness World Record for rapping the most syllables in a single second. He no longer holds that title, but still has bragging rights!

His rap moniker comes from a former football player. His first rap name was Chilly-O-Ski, but Chuck D of Public Enemy renamed him Busta Rhymes after the former Minnesota Viking, George “Buster” Rhymes.

Busta was once a clothing designer. Back in the late 1990s, Busta designed a line of clothing called Bushi. Nice!

He has more than 300 credits on songs. In addition to his own tunes, Busta has been featured on more than 300 songs. That’s talent!

Busta has ruled the charts, but debuted at No. 1 just once. His famed album “The Big Bang,” out in 2006, debuted on top!
