Imagine just cooking and minding your business and getting sued? This recently happened in Australia. USA Today explains that a vegan woman, Cilla Carden, filed a suit against her neighbor after complaining about the smell of the meat and fish the neighbor was cooking – in their own backyard. “It’s deliberate. All I can smell is fish. I can’t enjoy my backyard.”

This isn’t the only “beef” she has. She’s also suing the neighbor for smoking and for children playing basketball.

So far, a lower court has thrown out the case; the supreme court has also rejected the claim. In regards to the appeal case she is currently filling, complete with 600 pages of documents, Carden states, “I’m a good person. I just want peace and quiet.”
